TeaTimeTreats: Wo Afsana

Echoes of Lahore: A Timeless Tale of Poetic Love

In the heart of Amritsar, where the echoes of history whisper secrets to the brave, a theatrical masterpiece unfolded at Khalsa University, leaving the audience spellbound. "Wo Afsana" – a poignant portrayal of the love story between Sahir Ludhianavi, the legendary writer, and Amrita Pritam, the iconic poetess – breathed life into the vibrant streets of Lahore, where their love blossomed.

The Team Rabta, Delhi's finest, waded through the audience's emotions, weaving a narrative of love, longing, and literary brilliance. Jaishree and Shamir, accompanied by the soulful voices of Shreeya and Rajesh, transported the audience to a bygone era, where words were the only solace.

As the curtains drew to a close, Chief Guest Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Pro Chancellor of Khalsa University, praised the team's efforts in unearthing the enigmatic relationship between the two literary giants. The presentation, he noted, was a tribute to the enduring power of love and creativity, inspiring the youth to explore the depths of human emotion.

KU Registrar Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the team, hailing the event as a testament to the university's commitment to nurturing artistic excellence. As the audience dispersed, the whispers of "Wo Afsana" lingered, a poignant reminder of the transformative power of love and literature.
