As malaria cases increase in Amritsar, government orders recruitment of more staff for fogging

As Amritsar is inundated with heavy showers every now and then and most localities in the district are ill-equipped to face the monsoons being low lying and sans sewerage and disposal facilities and puddles of stagnant water find a place in virtually every dilapidated place available to them on rutted roads and slum areas with mosquitoes breeding in them, the cases of malaria are witnessing an increase.
